G'day Det.

My suggestion for a great ( long ) week end ride is the Oxley Hwy.

Leave Sydney on Friday, it's about 5. 1/2  easy hours to Uralla - the pub we visited.

Sat morning - they serve a great breakfast, head back to Walcha and then down the Oxley
to the Long Flat Pub  - it's about 350 km return trip, and lots of people say, the
BEST bike road in Australia.  I have ridden it many times - I LOVE IT.. Similar but much better to the
road down thru Dorrigo / Bellingen.

Sat night, the pub usually has a good band, real good food and lots of eye candy from Armidale Uni turn up.

Sunday - you can do the Oxley again, Port Maq - slab it home down the coast - or -  back down Thunderbolts
Way - Putty - home.

Have a look at http://www.nowwhereroute.com/travelmate/mapmaker/mappage.aspx?type=uralla_NSW_long+flat_NSW

Cheers..

Harry Asher
